Who we are
We are Friendly 401k! We are a team dedicated to simplifying your 401(k) or other defined contribution or benefit plan needs. We do this through excellent service, efficiency, transparency, independence, and passion. We are the 401(k) and other defined contribution or benefit plan division of Catalina Wealth Management. We are independent which means you will not find any "pre-packaged" deals from an insurance company or a "flavor-of-the-month" salesman. We also do not have proprietary products.
We work hand-in-hand with the plan sponsor to create a value based fund line up revolving around the plan sponsor's objectives. We focus on these specific areas, such as but not limited to: employer contribution strategies, compliance of legislative changes, employee satisfaction, usage of safe-harbor, auto-enrollments, and online enrollments.

This website was designed with education in mind. 401(k)s are confusing and we hope to take the confusion away as best we can. We help create plans, we takeover plans and make them more efficient, and help plan sponsors meet their responsibilities for offering a plan to their employees. We are often able to create more cost-efficient fund line-ups, increase plan participation among employees, easier access to accounts, and a smooth enrollment process.
Reviews by Committee
When managing a plan, we create a plan management committee that meets at least annually (preferably bi-annually) which includes the business owner to discuss details of their plans, contributions, participation, and much more. These reviews are built into the cost structure and help plan sponsors meet their responsibilities to their plan.

All you need is 1 employee to start. We work with Third Party Administrators that can handle employee counts beyond 5000. So what we are trying to say is, we can help anybody who sees the value in hiring us!
Enrollment EFFICIENCY & Education
Business is business, and business can be halted by team meetings for enrollments. While we still do in person enrollments for some companies, we offer digital enrollments and education through different providers to not halt productivity at the workplace. We also can give advice on fund selection for participants and owners. Based on the participant and owner needs, they may choose the funds themselves, have a risk tolerance guide, or utilize our one-on-one strategies.
